Where we came from
DBD started out in the late 1990’s as a digital consultancy, helping businesses understand the opportunities, threats and challenges represented by the Internet. And helping those businesses connect with their customers through this exciting new medium.
When GoTo launched the first PPC engine, well before Google Adwords was conceived, we saw the game changing potential, and were one of the first agencies to adopt this exciting new medium. We quickly developed from a small team huddled round laptops in a Covent Garden café to one of the first search engine marketing agencies in the UK.??Over the last 15 years our team has seen huge change within the industry. From the dot com crash to the phenomenal growth in social media, from the early days of AltaVista to Google’s domination of search, we have been there and seen it all.??Throughout this time we’ve always tried to provide an intelligent and personalised service to a relatively small number of clients, with plenty of contact and communication. We know all of our clients really well, and many of them have been with us for years - and some have even become friends. We’d like to keep it that way.
We have always tried to maintain the close-knit family feel to our agency. We are big enough to put together really strong teams for our clients, and small enough to all enjoy a pint together in the local pub.
Now, in 2016, DBD is a 20-strong digital marketing agency based in the best part of Soho –still as passionate about search marketing as we were when we started.
